Actress Teresa Palmer is set to join the ensemble cast of the upcoming dark comedy film 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank, directed by Frankie Shaw and produced by Amazon MGM’s Orion label. This remarkable project will also feature acclaimed actor Liam Neeson, along with Talia Ryder, Whitney Peak, Jack Dylan Grazer, Spike Fearn, Jim Sturgess, Caylee Cowan, George Basil, Sam Strike, and Deacon Phillippe.
Neeson plays Danny, a retired bank robber whose teenage granddaughter, Paige (Ryder), overhears, that his former gang wants him back for one final heist to settle a debt. In an attempt to protect him, Paige recruits her three best friends to rob the bank a day earlier, setting of a chaotic series of events. Palmer plays the bank manager and becomes romantically involved with one of the robbers.
With its blend of humor and high-stakes heist elements, ‘4 Kids Walk Into A Bank’ is poised to capture the attention of audience, displaying both established actors like Neeson and exciting new talent such as Ryder. Palmer, widely known for her roles in Warm Bodies and A Discovery of Witches, has been busy with several other upcoming projects as well. She also recently joined the Russell Crow action film Bear Country and will star in the drama series The Family Next Door and The Last Anniversary.
She also appeared in the rom-com Addition, which premiered at TIFF, and in David Leitch’s The Fall Guy. Palmer is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360, Shanahan Management, and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
“4 Kids Walk Into A Bank” film is based on the graphic novel by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss, and is adapted by Matt Robinson. Production companies involved in the project include Picturestart, Miramax, Point Grey, Black Mask Studios, and Uncle Pete Productions, with FilmNation handling international sales.
This is not the only comedy that Liam Neeson has lined up as he is also taking on the central role in the reboot of “Th Naked Gun” reboot. The 72-year-old actor is to feature as Frank Drebin Jr.- the son of Leslie Nielsen’s protagonist Detective Frank Drebin from the original films- in the forthcoming flick and is wary of the expectation that comes with reviving the spoof comedy franchise.
