Immediately, Reynolds needs clarification. “You’re not John Krasinski; you’re Randall Park,” he says. “John Krasinski is much shorter and less Asian than you are.” The two engaged in a hilarious back-and-forth that had viewers in stitches.
The scene was a callback to a famous season 9 of The Office moment when Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly had their friend Steve, played by Park, pretend to be Jim as a prank on Rainn Wilson’s Dwight Schrute. The clip has been shared on social media, with fans loving the joke. It was even picked up by IF’s official YouTube channel, which features all of the film’s trailers.
Park is among several famous faces in the IF cast, including Cailey Fleming, Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Bobby Moynihan, Sebastian Maniscalco, Richard Jenkins, Christopher Meloni, and Awkwafina. The film tells the story of a girl who begins to see her imaginary friends as she goes through a tough time in her life.
