Kate Middleton may be a woman of many talents, but she’s also a fashion icon with a penchant for the classics. She recently displayed her regal fashion skills when she greeted South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee in London, England. She wore a fiery red look with a stunning cape coat and matching dress accentuating her waistline.
The Duchess of Cambridge paired the Catherine Walker bespoke red wool cape with a recycled red dress that featured a dramatic oversized bowed neckline and calf-length hemline. She added a new wide-brimmed red wool hat by Jane Taylor and finished her monochrome look with a pair of red pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She also opted for a pair of sapphire and diamond drop earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana.
It’s not the first time Kate has opted for a red look. She wowed onlookers with her crimson look during a royal train tour in 2020. The royal then stepped out in a pleated tartan Emilia Wickstead skirt with an embellished waistline for an appearance at the Forward Trust. She paired the skirt with a black Emilia Wickstead jacket, a Ralph Lauren clutch, and black Jennifer Chamand heels.
Later, the royal greeted the South Korean delegation at Buckingham Palace. The Prince of Wales complemented his wife with a tuxedo suit and matching bowtie. Kate again wowed with her glitz-and-glam ensemble for the state banquet. She wore a Catherine Walker bespoke crimson dress with an oversized bowed neckline and a calf-length hemline. The mother of three also wore her new wide-brimmed red hat by Jane Taylor and a pair of red pointed pumps from Gianvito Rosi. She topped off her glitzy look with Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond drop earrings.
The Princess then rounded out her night by joining the king and queen for a procession to the Horse Guards Parade. As she alighted from the carriage, her flowing crimson cape parted to reveal that she had legs. She wore her hair up in an intricate low bun and accessorized with gold drop earrings, a bright red Philip Treacy fascinator, and a coordinating clutch.
The duchess wowed again when she sported another dazzling red ensemble to attend the 2023 Royal Ascot races. The mother of three arrived with her husband, Prince William, on the first day of the royal event at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire. She opted for a sultry scarlet Alexander McQueen midi dress with a draped V-neckline, puffed sleeves, and a waist-cinching belt. She paired the eye-catching dress with a bright red Philip Treacy fascinator, a matching clutch, and simple heels.
