Kourtney Kardashians’ husband, Travis Barker, has added another distinctive tattoo to his extensive collection. The 48-year-old musician recently got a cherub or angel holding a cross inked on the back of his shaved head near his right ear. This latest addition seems to align with Barker’s other religious-inspired body art, including a Virgin Mary inked on the top of his head and prayer hands on either side of it.
The iconic drummer of Blink-182, known for his heavily tattooed body, showcased this new artwork on his Instagram story. He shared several photos of the work and even included a video clip of himself getting the piece done by the skilled tattoo artist Chuey Quintanar.
Chuey is responsible for many of the other tattoos on Barker’s body, including a portrait of his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, with a heart on her chest and the initials of her three children (Landon, Atiana, and Alabama) written across his lower back in order of their birthdates. The star also has a solid black-inked skeleton on his wrist and the names of his ex-wife Shanna Moakler and her two daughters with Oscar De La Hoya inked along his neck.
While most of the comments on Travis’s post were well wishes and admiration for his new artwork, some were more suspicious. For example, some pointed out that the eyes resembled those of the late Michael Jackson and wondered if it was a tribute to the iconic pop superstar.
Other comments suggested that the cross could be a symbol for the drug overdose death of MJ’s sister, Paris. A few noted that the design is similar to a cover of the Descendents’ album, I Don’t Want To Grow Up, which features a similar image of an angel with a cross.
Adding this dope tattoo is just one more sign that Kourtney and Travis are growing closer and loving their life together. The couple celebrated their 2023 wedding in style and even closed out the year by running a half marathon with Kourtney cheering him on from the sidelines.
As the pair embark on their journey as a family of four, fans support their relationship. But even matriarch Kris has admitted that she finds their displays of PDA a little over the top at times. It will be interesting to see what additions and changes this new year brings for the family.
