Two passengers who were caught allegedly having sex inside the toilet of an EasyJet flight in the UK have been escorted off the plane and could face police action. The shocking footage, which went viral on X, was recorded on September 8 and showed the flight attendant opening the toilet door where the romantic couple was seen in a compromising position. The man involved quickly slammed the door shut as other passengers cheered and shrieked in surprise.
A staff member stood nervously outside the toilet doors as passengers eagerly waited for him to open it. As he did, the half-dressed pair were seen in a compromising position, and he hastily closed the door as other passengers cheered and shrieked with surprise. The couple then got up and left the plane while other cabin crew and passengers covered their mouths in embarrassment.
Footage of the embarrassing incident has been shared on social media, where it has been viewed over 5 million times. EasyJet confirmed that the pair were escorted off the plane after the flight landed in Ibiza. The airline said it notified police of the incident and that no arrests have been made.
While the pair has not been identified, the incident was reportedly the result of a “disruptive” passenger who had been drinking alcohol before boarding the flight. A statement from EasyJet says that the man ‘behaved aggressively towards his partner’ in the lavatory and was ejected from the aircraft.
The statement adds that the pair were ‘inappropriately exposed to other passengers’ and ‘could have been seriously injured’ if they had not been ejected from the plane. The incident is being investigated by Bedfordshire police, which confirmed that it was aware of the situation but had not yet contacted any of the passengers. While no specific law addresses in-flight sexual activities, it is illegal to have sex in a public lavatory, according to section 71 of the Sexual Offences Act 2004.
EasyJet also confirmed to The Independent that the pair was escorted off their flight due to ‘disruptive behavior’ and added that police were informed of the matter. It is unclear whether any officers were present at the time of the landing, and no arrests have been made.
This is not the first time a couple has been escorted off a flight due to inappropriate behavior. Last year, a couple caught in the middle of a sex act in a plane toilet had to be removed from the Airbus A320 after passengers filmed them. The video was posted online and quickly went viral, with users jokingly requesting that the pair be given a walk of shame. However, the incident was later averted when the pair re-boarded the plane after apologizing to the other passengers. The couple was not named but was reported to have been traveling from Luton to Ibiza. X has since removed the video from their platform.
